About the Role:Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Officer to join one of our partner mainstream secondary schools in Bradford. This full-time role focuses on providing targeted support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs, both in and outside the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the Senior Leadership Team to monitor and manage student behaviour.
  • Implement strategies to improve engagement and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Build strong relationships with students to promote resilience and emotional well-being.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual behaviour plans.
  • Record and report on student progress and incidents in line with school policies.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEMH students (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to managing challenging behaviour.
  • Team player with a self-motivated and proactive attitude.
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive school environment.
