About the Role:Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Officer to join one of our partner mainstream secondary schools in Bradford. This full-time role focuses on providing targeted support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs, both in and outside the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the Senior Leadership Team to monitor and manage student behaviour.
- Implement strategies to improve engagement and encourage positive behaviour.
- Build strong relationships with students to promote resilience and emotional well-being.
- Assist in developing and implementing individual behaviour plans.
- Record and report on student progress and incidents in line with school policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with SEMH students (preferred but not essential).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to managing challenging behaviour.
- Team player with a self-motivated and proactive attitude.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive school environment.
