About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Global Applications Developer to join their IT team, focusing on the development, support, and optimisation of business applications used across multiple regions. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, improve system functionality, and ensure seamless software performance. The ideal candidate will have strong programming expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance internal applications to support business processes
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective solutions
  • Conduct system analysis and recommend improvements to optimise performance
  • Oversee software testing, debugging, and deployment to ensure stability and efficiency
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as required
  • Work collaboratively with the IT team to implement best practices and maintain system integrity

Skills & Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in software development using Java, C# (.NET), and SQL Server
  • Proficiency with Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Hands-on experience working with enterprise applications and system integration
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and change management processes

Preferred:

  • Exposure to CRM platforms like Salesforce or ERP solutions such as QAD or Netsuite
  • Experience working with BI tools (e.g., Cognos) and document management systems
  • Background in EDI projects or Progress SQL development

Technical Proficiency:

  • Core Development: C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, Java, SQL (T-SQL)
  • Frontend Skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular
  • Additional Knowledge: XML/XSLT, PHP, API development, Web Services
  • Advantageous: Unix/Linux exposure, ODBC connectivity
