Daily rate £85-£100 (Experience dependant)

We are currently working alongside a primary school who specialise in supporting children with educational needs in the BD9 area of Bradford who are looking to employ several Special Needs Teaching Assistants with previous experience working with high level Autism.

Throughout this role as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support learners on a 1:1 basis in class, and to help within small groups. The day-to-day support isn't just focused on supporting learners academically, throughout the day there will be focus on assisting them with both their social and behavioural needs too.

The aim of this role is to help ensure that both the social and learning aspect of education are made accessible for all learners no matter what needs or challenges they may face.

Essential requirements:

  • Previous SEN experience (Autism/Asperger's)
  • SEN TA and classroom support experience
  • Effective behaviour management strategies and able to help learners regulate their emotions and behaviour
  • Worked with verbal, pre-verbal and non-verbal Autistic learners

Key Skills:

  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic
  • Able to build meaningful relationships with both learners and staff
  • Effective communication skills within classroom support
