Reed Procurement and Supply Chain are delighted to be supporting an established business who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager on a full time, permanent contract. This is a new role within the business where you will be responsible for managing a small procurement team and helping to drive cost reductions and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers. Working directly with the Directors, you will be a critical element for the organisation and requires a committed professional who is looking for a long and successful career with the business. Flexibility on hybrid remote working and working hours can be negotiated.A company bonus payment is included in the role.Â
Job Duties include:
- Identifying any products, services and equipment to be purchased
- Verifying the key suppliers and managing supplier relations and negotiations
- Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identify costs
- Overseeing daily activities of the purchasing department, including delegating tasks and supervising the purchasing team
- Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought stock meets company standards
- Managing procurement budget and preparing cost estimates
- Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts
Canididate requirements:
• Minimum 2 years experience within a procurement• Holds management or supervisory experience • Holds a driving licence • Strong negotiation and rapport building skills • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft packages with Intermediate Excel skills
