NextGen Teachers are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in Bradford for a Food Technology Teacher. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and educating students in both the theoretical and practical aspects of Food Technology. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering creativity, and helping students develop their skills in preparation, safety, nutrition and food science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and challenging lessons in Food Technology across KS3 & KS4, aligned with the school's curriculum and national standards
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express their ideas
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Prepare students for exams and coursework, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience for students
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Design Technology / Food Technology or any other relevant field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience in teaching Food Technology to secondary school students
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The right to work in the UK
- DBS on the update service or willingness to complete one
