Job Purpose
  • Preparation and finalisation of accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • Preparation of management accounts for larger clients
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations, liaising with the tax department as necessary
  • Ensuring timely completion of audits, overseeing processes from planning to completion
  • Ensuring accounts files are completed on time, in budget and to the highest standard
  • Communicating clearly and effectively at all levels to progress assignments and resolve queries
  • Supervising junior staff, including review working and knowledge sharing to support their progression
  • Building trusted client relationships, acting as their main point of contact to proactively handle queries
  • Championing your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities where possible
  • Working directly with Managers to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are always met
  • Support the firm by undertaking ad-hoc projects where required

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA / AAT / ACCA qualified, part qualified, studying or with a desire to begin study
  • Demonstrable experience within practice
  • Good understanding of accounting disclosures including FRS102 and IFRS is advantage
  • Solid knowledge of audit regulations for statutory audits
  • A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Exceptional communication skills and keen eye for detail
  • Good writing skills in respect of accounts reports
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties
  • Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
  • Ability to work well under pressure
