Our client are a growing practice based in mid-Essex providing accounting and business advice to a wide range of individuals and their businesses.

As part of their development they seek a semi-senior accountant to join the team providing first class accounting services to clients, a role where someone can look to develop their own skills whilst adding value to clients.

This role is a hands-on role with a real variety to the work.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of annual accounts, management accounts and personal tax returns.
  • Preparing management account
  • Bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns
  • Build positive relationships with clients in person, telephone and via email.
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services to clients and promote the services of the business to clients and potential clients.

Successful candidates will have relevant experience from a practice environment, ideally within a small team. You will ideally be working towards a qualification (ACCA or ACA - late stages AAT) and further support will be provided to continue studies. The role requires excellent communication skills and a desire to problem solve and add value.
