Job Purpose- Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with Senior Accountants to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
- Preparation of draft annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparation of draft tax computations for corporate clients
- Review accounting working papers to ensure all documents have been filed in an effective and timely manner
- Oversee analytical reviews of the balance sheet to provide helpful notes
- Review the work undertaken by junior staff, providing helpful feedback
- Preparation of written communication to send to clients
- Review the schedules prepared for VAT returns to minimise liabilities and ensure clear communication throughout
- Liaise with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
- Champion your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities

- ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified or studying
- At least 12 months’ experience within UK practice
- Audit experience is beneficial, but not essential
- Solid technical knowledge of accounting standards
- Good working knowledge of relevant software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- An enthusiastic team player who can also work autonomously
- A hands-on, can-do attitude to problem-solving
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
