Temporary role
A local government are currently in the process of developing a comprehensive, efficient and effective building control partnership that operates differently to traditional local government building control services.
This role will provide administrative and clerical support to the Building Control Service
- Work with other team members and officers to ensure a seamless and modern approach to requests for services and the Building Control 'Hub’
- Distribute and acknowledge incoming correspondence etc
- Assist with the registration of all types of submissions for building regulation purposes, within the service IT systems, including the opening and maintenance of job files, progressing applications and achieving service targets for the administration section of the service
- Prepare forms and correspondence for typing, including monitoring stock control and ordering stationery.
- Run reports and help prepare the reported Key Performance Indicators to the Building Safety Regulator
- Assist as required with the typing and generation of standard letters and decisions
- Prepare and distribute lists of building control matters
- Maintain various registers and records
- Deal with telephone enquiries, typing and photocopying as required
- Assist as required with monitoring, storage and retrieval of building control data and information.

- Adminiustration experience, in a paperfree environment
