Fixed term contract for an experienced Part 21J Design Engineer - required to work on cabin interiors, structures and avionic system teams in the UK 

Candidates to have 2-3 years’ experience within an EASA Part21J Design Organisation(s) and achieved a 2:1 level or higher qualification in a suitable Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree.

Client will provide on the job training with the potential to progress within the company and achieve signatory status. The positions involve designing EASA 21J modification packages for integration of structural/electrical systems (aircraft seats, monuments, IFE, USB Power etc) as well as the associated structural provision onto commercial aircraft. This includes producing engineering drawings, accomplishment instructions and associated test and certification reports. Familiarity with OEM aircraft manuals, drawings, and procedures essential. Previous experience checking other people’s work for technical accuracy is advantageous. Both roles are fast paced with daily deadlines and direct customer interaction in the ever-expanding environment of civil aircraft modifications and certification. The successful candidates will have a keen eye for detail, the right person can lead and guide less experienced staff; is expected to work both individually and as part of a team. Successful candidates will be working with AutoCAD and MS Office applications. Proven ability to manage time and workloads for maximum efficiency.

Understanding of 2D AutoCAD is preferred but not essential and 3D work is performed using SolidWorks. Rudimentary knowledge of aircraft systems is preferred. Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or the UK without sponsorship, have a clean full driving licence and a valid passport.
