Our client is a privately owned group of companies who currently have a great opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join their friendly team based in Essex. This is a hybrid role and would suit someone with experience in a similar Finance Admin role who is looking to progress their career within Finance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verifying and setting up new customer accounts
  • Handling Proof of Delivery (POD) requests from customers and Credit Control teams
  • Sending out duplicate invoices and account statements as needed
  • Posting cash entries to designated accounts
  • Approving and processing orders for cash accounts
  • Correcting and re-invoicing for inaccurately billed accounts
  • Processing credits, refunds, and cancellations on miscellaneous charges
  • Matching payments from various sources
  • Managing and responding to email inquiries
  • Assisting with customer issue resolution to facilitate timely payments
  • Allocating cheques and making regular post office runs
  • Performing additional tasks as required by the team

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as collaboratively within a busy team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT applications
  • Effective time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience in finance administration or a similar role, ideally with familiarity in accounting software
