Production Operative |Temporary Ongoing | 11.44-12.21ph | Full-Time

Prime Appointments is currently seeking a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing and production company in Braintree, Essex.

The position is a temporary ongoing role, with the potential for long-term opportunities based on performance and business needs.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Basic assembling of components and parts to create finished products, following detailed instructions and diagrams to ensure precision and quality
Once trained, operating a variety of machinery and production equipment, ensuring safe operation and correct usage to maintain production flow
Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Identifying any defects and reporting them to the supervisor
Supporting the wider production team with various tasks, including material handling, packing, and ensuring the work area is kept clean and organized
Following all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues

The ideal Production Operative candidate will have:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is ideal but not essential
Ability to focus on the finer details to ensure high-quality assembly and production standards are met
Comfortable with handling small parts and completing detailed assembly tasks that require good hand-eye coordination
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with others
A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to varying workloads and shift patterns as required
A good understanding of workplace safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
