My client a social housing organisation located in Essex is seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to maintain the clients' hubs (4 offices) the Braintree and Witham areas.

They need someone initially for 12 weeks but will consider the successful candidate for the job permanently.

The position reporting directly to the Facilities Manager will require the postholder to be the key holder for the hubs and with the direction of the Facilities account manage and oversee works carried out by the contractors this being cleaning and maintenance.

You would need to attend all hubs and action where necessary any facilities related issues including PPM's, reactive maintenance, compliance testing i.e Legionella, Alarms, etc, monitoring BMS, updating RAMS, refurbishments, ordering and procuring stationary and other related office equipment, operating heating and cooling systems including plant room checks etc.

The position isn't hands on but ideally the postholder will be able to carry out basic tasks such as changing light bulbs and attempt to fix items such as fixtures and fittings but not essential at all.

Ideally applicants will have a related Facilities qualifications i.e IOSH OR NEBOSH

Driving licence and own vehicle essential (as travel require between hubs regularly)

Working a 37-hour week between the hours or 06.30 - 16.00 

Pay £16.50 (PAYE) - £20.00 (Umbrella)
