Opportunity for an experienced Machinist with expertise in Surface Grinding, Cylindrical Grinding, and EDM. We need an engineer capable of creating jigs and fixtures and someone who offers flexibility and "ownership" of engineering challenges and work.
Any additional experience with CNC Milling etc. could be an advantage.Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain high-quality surface grinding and cylindrical grinding machines.- Utilise Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) technology efficiently.- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine grinding operations.
- Manufacture jigs and fixtures- Inspect completed parts for conformance to specifications and standards.- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machining equipment.- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards of the organisation.- Collaborate with other team members to optimise production processes.Qualifications:- Proven experience and expertise in Surface Grinding, Cylindrical Grinding, and spark eroding.- Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Strong communication skills.- A commitment to health and safety in the workplace.This company are a fast expanding sub contract precision engineering company with excellent facilities and machinery.
