We are looking for an assembly fitter to join a medical manufacturing firm in Braintree, Essex. The company are looking for someone who is keen to learn that ideally has experience working with hand and power tools or within assembly or fitting.

The starting salary will be up to 25,000 per annum depending on experience. Working hours are 07:00-15:30 or 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday, so you can choose your start time!

The main duty of the role is to use various hand & power tools to assemble metal equipment. You must maintain high standards as these products will be used in surgeries and hospitals.

Assembly duties include:-

  • Assembling products using various hand & power tools
  • Packing parts for the products, paying close attention to detail
  • Working as part of a team to fit parts together
  • Sticking to deadlines to maintain production output
  • Using fabrication machinery after training

You will be expected to have a basic engineering understanding and also be computer literate as you will be working with spreadsheets and other systems to adhere to schedules etc.

This position would be suited to anyone who has worked with tools before or has worked within a similar workshop or manufacturing environment. If you are looking to gain experience within a metalworking company they are willing to train people providing you show the correct attitude.

This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month probation period.
