I am pleased to represent this traditional pub restaurant located in the picturesque countryside of Essex. As Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in developing a highly skilled and dynamic kitchen team, encouraging innovation, and establishing their restaurant as a leader in culinary excellence.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
This is an ambitious new venture supported by a dedicated team. They are seeking a second chef who is reliable, grounded, and prepared to assist the head chef in developing and establishing their culinary offerings from the ground up.
Have at least 2 years of experience as a Second Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
Bring a solid foundation in culinary techniques and palate development.
Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
Thrive in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Have experience in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes.
Show excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Embrace collaboration and be eager to learn and grow within the team.
Understand the basics of food cost control and kitchen efficiency.
Be committed to upholding high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Maintain a calm sense of urgency under pressure.
