I am pleased to represent this traditional pub restaurant located in the picturesque countryside of Essex. As Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in developing a highly skilled and dynamic kitchen team, encouraging innovation, and establishing their restaurant as a leader in culinary excellence.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

This is an ambitious new venture supported by a dedicated team. They are seeking a second chef who is reliable, grounded, and prepared to assist the head chef in developing and establishing their culinary offerings from the ground up.

  • Have at least 2 years of experience as a Second Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.

  • Bring a solid foundation in culinary techniques and palate development.

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Thrive in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Have experience in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes.

  • Show excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.

  • Embrace collaboration and be eager to learn and grow within the team.

  • Understand the basics of food cost control and kitchen efficiency.

  • Be committed to upholding high standards of food hygiene and safety.

  • Maintain a calm sense of urgency under pressure.
