Role Overview:
As a Business Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive business lessons to students at various levels. You will foster an understanding of business principles, entrepreneurship, and economics, preparing students for both academic success and real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a dynamic business curriculum that covers essential topics such as marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and economics.
- Create lesson plans that engage and challenge students, fostering critical thinking and practical skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Organise and facilitate activities that enhance learning, such as business simulations, competitions, and guest speakers.
- Maintain an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Stay updated with current business trends and integrate real-world examples into lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and achievements in business studies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and subject knowledge.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Teacher, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of business concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
