IT Support Engineer

Role Overview

My client is currently seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer for a 3 month contract role based in Braintree. The successful candidate will provide vital support services to individual users, manage service desk requests, and assist in maintaining and developing the company’s systems infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide support services to users in the office, on-site, and remotely.

- Assist in the maintenance and development of the Group’s systems infrastructure.

- Handle hardware/software break/fix tasks.

- Monitor and manage the service desk queue, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

- Support the maintenance of automated deployment systems.

- Maintain accurate service desk records.

- Generate ideas to improve business productivity and reduce costs.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including creating reports and guides.

- Travel to company locations as required.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

- Proficient in Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365.

- Strong knowledge of software, hardware, peripherals, and mobile device support.

- Experience with software deployment (Intune) and cloud-based architecture.

- Ability to communicate complex issues simply to a wide range of stakeholders.

- Flexible, proactive, and capable of working to strict deadlines.

- A strong team player with the ability to influence at all levels.

- Creative, analytical, and confident in approach.

This role is for an initial 3 month period although is likely to extend for the right candidate or have the potential to go permanent.
