We are looking for an enthusiastic Unqualified Primary Teacher to join our school in Braintree on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for teaching who may be looking to start their teaching career or gain more classroom experience.

The Role:

As an Unqualified Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting students across a range of age groups. While working under the guidance of qualified teachers, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support students with their learning, and help manage the classroom environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lesson Delivery: Assist in the delivery of planned lessons, helping to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment for the students.
  • Classroom Management: Work closely with the classroom teacher to maintain a positive and well-managed classroom where all students are encouraged to participate and remain on task.
  • Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those who may need extra help to meet their learning goals.
  • Behavior Support: Help manage behavior in the classroom, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
  • Feedback and Assessment: Assist with monitoring student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team. Use student data to inform and adapt lesson delivery.
  • Collaboration with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers and support staff to ensure all students are supported in their learning, making sure any specific needs are addressed.
  • Parental Communication: Assist in communicating with parents and guardians about student progress and behavior.

Requirements:

We are looking for an Unqualified Teacher with the following qualities and qualifications:

  • Passion for Teaching: A genuine desire to work with children and help them achieve their potential.
  • Experience with Children: Previous experience working with children, whether in a teaching assistant or similar role, is an advantage but not essential.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: The ability to adapt and take initiative in a classroom setting while working as part of a team.
  • Good Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to Professional Development: A willingness to learn, grow, and develop as an educator through support and training.
  • Positive and Patient Attitude: A caring and patient approach to supporting children, with the ability to engage and inspire them.
