A Design & Manufacturing company in Braintree are recruiting a Trainee Estimator to join their team asap. This is a full-time position working 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday and paying between 24,000 - 26,000 per annum depending on experience.

The company we are working with manufacture and supply products to various electronics industries including automotive and aerospace. They are looking for someone to train up to become a key part of team to deal with enquires and estimate orders.


Your key duties in this Junior Estimator/Sales role once trained will include:

  • Deal with incoming sales enquiries and priorities.
  • Manage and check orders against quotations.
  • Issue acknowledgements for customer orders ensuring price, delivery and technical requirements can be met.
  • Ensure work order packages are sent to production control with all necessary documentation enclosed.
  • Collate monthly sales reports.
  • Follow up with customers after initial sale to offer alternative services if appropriate.
  • Ensure customer drawings are controlled, registered and approved copies issued to production.
  • Update CRM system.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

  • Engineering or Production background essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Building and Construction design experience preferable.
  • A Levels or Degree within business, maths, engineering or similar.
