Our Client is a leading Grower of specialist fresh produce crops and supply to a range of highly regarded retails customers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual, who is passionate about the Fresh Produce sector to join the business as Junior Growing Manager.

Reporting to and working alongside the Managing Director of the farm, The role will involve several tasks to support the growing operation. This role would be well suited to someone passionate about plants. This hands-on role will focus on 12.5 hectares of commercial growing of protected crops. This role requires crop walking regularly, monitoring for pests and diseases and status of growing media, ensuring all documents are up to date. To assist the Growing Managers in their duties to learn and gain experience from them.

We require;

Experience in a similar Junior Grower / Growing position, with fresh produce crops.

The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience in a greenhouse environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Motivating and encouraging staff management, to achieve expectational working standards and product quality.

Exposure to grower certifications (BRC, Eurepgap, Natures Choice, Assured Produce) & IPM (Integrated Pest Management) would be beneficial.
