Semi Senior Accountant

Bennett & Game are pleased to be partnering a medium sized accountancy practice, based in Braintree, as they recruit for a Semi Senior Accountant to join their growing team. • Reviewing work undertaken by accounts assistants, and providing feedback on all jobs undertaken and assisting with additional training
• Preparing more complex elements of the job including VAT controls, PAYE controls, and other difficult areas
• Preparing drat annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Undertaking analytical review of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
• Preparing draft tax computations for review
• Follow instructions and plans provided by audit manager on any audit assignments including bank transaction testing, sales and purchase testing, fixed asset testing, debtors and creditors testing, and more (experience in this is desirable not essential)

• Minimum of 4 years accountancy practice experience
• ACA/ACCA trainee or fully qualified AAT
• Audit experience (desirable)
• Able to commute to Braintree office
• No requirement for visa sponsorship
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

• Hybrid working. 3 days in office, 2 from home. (After probation)
