We are looking for a passionate and creative Food Technology Teacher to join our secondary schools in Braintree on a Full-time basis. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to inspire students, develop their cooking skills, and enhance their understanding of food technology and nutrition. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons that engage students and develop their practical and theoretical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging and interactive Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to explore their creativity.
  • Plan and deliver practical sessions, helping students develop essential cooking skills and food safety knowledge.
  • Prepare and assess coursework, monitoring student progress and offering constructive feedback.
  • Ensure the classroom and food preparation areas are safe and organized, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting students with varying abilities.

The ideal Food Technology Teacher will be an enthusiastic and dedicated educator with a passion for food and nutrition. You will have experience teaching Food Technology within a school setting and be committed to helping students succeed in both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
