About the Role:

As Assistant Manager / Sommelier, youll work closely with our Restaurant Manager to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant. You will manage our extensive wine list of over 300 bins, lead from the front, and help train junior staff. This is a perfect opportunity for someone passionate about fine food, wine, and exceptional customer service, looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and maintaining our 300-bin wine list Ordering stock, liaising with suppliers, making recommendations, and serving with expertise
  • Opening and closing the restaurant with precision
  • Recruiting, training, and retaining top-tier staff
  • Resolving guest queries and delivering exceptional hospitality
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team on guest requirements

What Were Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality or restaurant role
  • A passion for fine dining and extensive wine knowledge (sommelier training is a plus)
  • Strong leadership skills with a flair for customer service
  • Enthusiasm for training and developing junior staff
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • A flexible and positive attitude with a presentable demeanour
