A leader in the provision of fire protection services and works within social housing and other public sector projects is looking for experienced fire stoppers to join their team. You will be working on domestic projects, carrying out all aspects of fire stopping. The works will be mostly within Brandon and may also cover other areas within a 30–40 mile radius.

We are looking for Fire Stoppers on a temp to perm basis with an initial agency period of 13 weeks and then moving to a permanent role.

Pay on offer is £180 per day for the initial agency period (13 weeks) and then moving to £37,444 per annum thereafter (once permanent).

*For the initial 13 weeks – you MUST pick the van up and drop off to the office each day*

The successful candidate will have

  • At least three years’ fire stopping experience
  • NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full, clean, valid UK Driving Licence
  • Experience with batt and mastic, fire barrier and compound
  • Fire curtain experience desired but not essential
  • Surveying experience would be an advantage
  • Experience working on social housing FRA contracts

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Installing and carrying out remedial works to penetrations and loft spaces
  • Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification
  • Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
  • Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
  • Liaise with customers and members of the general public
