Job Overview
The client/employer are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a commercial construction project refurbishments near Thetford.
Your first project for this Nottinghamshire based business is to manage a Military Accommodation Block refurbishment valued at circa 1.5m in mechanical services & plant rooms. The project runs from Feb'25 - Feb'26.
After completion of this project there will be an opportunity to join this Nottingham based business long-term or permanently.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily site operations and ensure adherence to project timelines.
* Manage and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
* Implement health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* Prepare reports on project status, including progress updates and resource allocation.
* Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
* Ensure effective time management across all aspects of the project.
Experience
* Previous experience within the Construction industry, maybe as a Supervisor, or Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager
* Strong knowledge of mechanical installation processes (plumbing, heating, plant rooms etc), materials, and technical knowledge.
* Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to help manage teams.
* Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently under pressure.
