Experienced Agricultural Fitter

Salary and Benefits Package:
- Paying circa £40,000 per year, depending on experience.

The Job Role Details:
Join the team as an Experienced Agricultural Fitter, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our extensive range of vegetable and arable machinery operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
You will
- Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and servicing of machinery, adhering to high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Respond to in-field breakdowns, minimising downtime for farm operations.
- Implement and oversee a robust 3-monthly Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule for all assets.
- Manage reactive maintenance tasks with speed, safety, and cost-effectiveness in mind.
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records to ensure compliance and continuity.
- Promote a safe and tidy work environment, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to Health and Safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively within the workshop team while taking initiative when needed.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining agricultural machinery or similar equipment.
- Strong general maintenance skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A clean and valid driving licence.
- Hydraulics experience.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Training or certification in abrasive wheels.
- Electrical experience or qualifications.
- A formal mechanical engineering qualification.
