About the Company:
Our client, a leading construction materials testing company, is looking for a dedicated Materials Testing Specialist to join their team. As the company continues to grow, this role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and advancement within the business.
Role Overview:
In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting a variety of tests on materials used in construction, such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. You'll ensure these materials meet industry standards and provide crucial support to projects by delivering accurate data and detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out material testing on various construction materials.
- Use specialist equipment to assess properties like strength, density, and texture.
- Record test results and prepare detailed reports for internal and external use.
- Work closely with different teams to ensure materials meet required specifications.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing techniques and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or Construction or being able to demonstrate experience working in these sectors is preferred.
- Alternatively our client will also look at you favourably if you have a solid foundation in scientific principles, through education or work experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience in materials testing would be an advantage but is not essential
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and report on data.
