Location: Lakenheath (site based 5 days per week)

Rate: Up to 340 per day, depending on suitability (Outside of IR35)
Arise Recruit is seeking Project Managers for a client side team at RAF Lakenheath. This is a Project Management position where you will be responsible for managing high-value, complex construction projects within the Defence sector. You will interact with multiple stakeholders and ensure that project goals are achieved within scope, cost, and timeline constraints. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management expertise, experience with the Defence sector, or similar environment with complex estates, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Below is a summary and breakdown of the key Project Manager responsibilities:
- Project Delivery & Accountability:
Overseeing the integration of project delivery across both design and construction phases.
Ensuring project objectives are met in terms of performance, cost, and schedule.
Coordinating with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) project managers and other members of the construction teams.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
Facilitate communication and integration between various stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and contractors.
Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, from commercial to engineering teams.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
Responsible for monitoring scope, cost, and schedule for a range of projects, ranging from refurbishment to major new build schemes through to M&E and Civils upgrade programmes.
Ensuring client responsibilities are met to keep contractors on track with the construction program.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
Contribute as a team player within an established project management team.
Use effective communication skills and build strong relationships across multiple organizations.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience & Certifications:
Proven project management experience with certifications such as PMP, AMP, or Prince2.
Experience in the delivery of complex construction / facility projects.
Procurement development and management experience.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience in managing relationships with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
- Health & Safety Focus:
Strong emphasis on health and safety management.
- Practical Skills:
Strong IT Literacy
Full UK driving license.
- Security Clearance:
SC clearance or suitability for SC clearance (no travel out of the UK for periods of more than 30 days in the last 5 years).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within Defence Environment:
Previous experience working within a MOD / RAF type environment.
- Educational Background:
A degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Construction-related fields is preferred.
Membership in a recognized professional institution is an advantage.
