he key tasks and responsibilities for this role include:
- Provide clear and visible leadership to the team, managing their performance and development to ensure they are delivering the best possible results.
- Ensure the most efficient and effective operating structure is in place for development and succession plans.
- Manage on-site legal compliance.
- Manage contractors/3PS.
- Review, recommend and approve contracts and estimates for engineering works.
- Develop and improve the site Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems to achieve a reduction in unplanned downtime events across the site.
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedure for the engineering and technical work required.
- In conjunction with our Projects Manager, manage on-site project works to ensure they are delivered on time, to spec and in budget.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely.
- Provide an escalation point for critical failures/breakdown, including OOH.

- Educated to degree level in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.
- Proven leadership of a maintenance/engineering function within in a fast moving, high volume food production or manufacturing environment.
- Strategic thinker, with a track record of delivering performance improvements and positive behavioural changes.
- Experience in strategy development and execution and driving innovation through inclusive and diverse teams.
- Practical experience of Lean, TPM, RCA, RCM and other world class preventative maintenance methodologies.
- Experience of CMMS systems.
- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
