Berkeley Scott are proud to partner with a country house hotel with Rosette standard restaurant and banqueting operation to find a passionate Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. They pride themselves on their fine dining menu, utilising fresh, local produce whilst developing staff and nurturing talent.

Your New Role as Our Sous Chef:

  • Prepare, produce and serve a diverse menu up to a 2 Rosette standard, utilising some great local produce.
  • Prepare, produce and serve a high quality banqueting menu for up to 100 covers.
  • Assist in the leadership and development of the kitchen brigade, ensuring optimal staffing levels in a busy environment.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards in order to ensure 5-star food hygiene ratings.
  • Maintain a pristine and organised kitchen.

What We Ask of You:

  • A genuine passion for creating the highest quality food using the best ingredients.
  • Demonstrated success as a Sous or Junior Sous Chef in a high-quality, fresh-food hotel or restaurant. Rosette experience is desired but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent communication.
  • Eye for detail and a desire to pass on your knowledge to junior members of the team.
  • Knowledge of Pastry section is preferred but not essential.
