The Role

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a School supporting pupils aged between 7 and 19. Working as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting children 1-1 or in small groups. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

The School

This SEND School in Gloucestershire provides support for secondary aged children (7-19). This very successful and well-established special School provides support for children with moderate and additional learning difficulties, complex needs and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). They are extremely fortunate to have a purpose built environment that allows their pupils and students to access high quality facilities across the school, including specialist classrooms, a life-skills flat, a sensory room and a range of outdoor play equipment.

 

Requirements

-            Experience working with SEND children

-            Have a caring and positive nature

-            Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people

-            Understand the crucial importance of keeping young people and children safe.

-            Be willing to pay for a DBS check and register with the Update Service .

Salary

£12.86 to £13 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
