This permanent role involves the operation and maintenance of equipment used in tortilla production, ensuring high product quality and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tortilla production machinery, including Tortilla Machine and other equipment.
- Mix ingredients to ensure proper consistency and quality.
- Monitor production lines to maintain tortilla quality and consistency.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Package tortillas according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate production records, including yield and quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Conduct quality checks on finished tortillas for texture, size, and appearance.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in food production or manufacturing, preferably in tortilla or similar food production.
- Knowledge of tortilla-making processes and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor production issues.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot environment.
