Mobile HGV Technician & Plant Technician Vacancy

42k basic + bonus + overtime + benefits
As the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician / Truck Mechanic / Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic , your day to day, you will be:
- Performing major and minor repairs to plant machinery as well as heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles as required
- Carrying out PDI works and attachment set up on plant machinery
- Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery
- Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hrs and schedules
- Maintaining inventory in the service vehicle and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
- Working with other departments, including the sales team to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers
- Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for to machines/vehicles
- Maintaining records of machines/vehicles that have been repaired or handled
- Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management
- Providing in-house training to recruits and trainees as required
- Carrying out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do
The successful HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician / Truck Mechanic / Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic will need to be:
- Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus plant machinery repair and maintenance
- Be a resilient person is someone who has strong coping skills and can draw on these when life presents challenges
- Ensure personal and team success, being motivated is essential and is a key part of your role and it is part of being a brilliant team player
- Precision in diagnosing issues and conducting repairs to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes to meet customer demands and maintain workshop efficiency

Hours are Monday to Friday and based on a 45 hour week.
