My client is an established business services organisation with exciting growth plans in to new revenue streams.
Reporting in to the Financial Controller you will take responsibility for the management accounting of one of the business divisions. Taking responsibility for month-end and reporting key financial and commercial data to the operations teams. This is an opportunity for an experienced management accountant to continue to develop their skills and further their analytical capability.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Deliver timely, high quality management information to inform the decision-making of business leaders. This will include monthly management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and other ad-hoc reporting.
- Manage revenue and cost recognition, including verifying service delivery.
- Responsible for preparing and posting journals for deferred revenue and prepayments.
- Responsible for preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations and providing supporting schedules for relevant Balance Sheet accounts.
- Contribute to continual improvement of processes to drive efficiency and improve effectiveness.
- Work with Sales Director to create sales commission schemes and targets for the sales team. Calculate commission payments each month for payroll processing.
- Work closely with outsourced financial services provider to optimise business services.
Successful candidates will be studying towards their ACCA or CIMA qualifications, with relevant practical experience. You will be comfortable to deliver month-end management accounting once training on systems and processes is given. The business is willing to support further study and development and the role calls for someone looking to drive their career forward.
