About the Role:

Due to an increase in workload, we are looking for an additional Van Driver. As part of the team you will:

  • Professionally driving and operating an allocated vehicle that is assigned by the Transport department daily while ensuring an efficient and effective collection, transportation and disposal of customer waste.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report all defects which may affect the safe and efficient operation of your vehicle or equipment immediately to the office.
  • Verifying that paperwork/jobs scheduled on the tablet matches the container type loaded prior to departure from site
  • All Duty of Care/Waste Transfer Notes are completed promptly and accurately
  • Use and maintain your vehicle and equipment in accordance with the training given.
  • Ensure all loads are secure and safe and follow site safety instructions at all sites.
  • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and the Company rules including reporting any unmarked hazards, near misses or accidents and wearing the correct PPE.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A full UK driving license
  • ADR Class 9 highly desirable
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • A very personable 'can do' attitude
  • High levels of resilience and flexibility
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Commercially aware and takes pride in the quality and standard of their work
