We are currently looking for an experienced Chef De Partie to work at a new bistro opening in the Brentwood area offering modern British and continental food including vegan dishes.
Because this is a new establishment, my client is looking for someone who is completely committed to the business whowill bring an energy and drive withcreativity and finesse to delivering a high-quality menu.
Job spec
- Proven track record in producinghigh quality food
- Experience working in a managerial role in a commercial kitchen
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills and able to multitask
- Ensure all stock is checked and all discrepancies recorded
- Experience of costing menus
- Fundamental understanding of health & safety requirements in a catering environment
- Knowledge of food from diverse cultures and styles including vegan dishes
- Understanding of how to work within a budget
- Excellent work ethic and be able to work under pressure
Qualifications & training
- Qualification in professional cookery
- Current Food hygiene certificate level 2
- COSHH
