Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Platinum Recruitment is looking for a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef skilled in authentic Indian cooking techniques, including curries, tandoori, and modern fusion styles. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
What's involved?
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in an Indian restaurant.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Manage and inspire a team of chefs, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Develop and execute a creative menu that balances traditional Indian flavours with innovative techniques.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organization in compliance with UK regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee the procurement of ingredients, ensuring cost control and minimal wastage.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Manage kitchen schedules and ensure consistent coverage during busy service hours.
- Collaborate with management to plan seasonal menus and special events.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Stable career history with a track record of success in similar roles.
