An exciting opportunity has come up for a Sous chef in an modern and innovative gastro pub. The Restaurant has a vibrant feel and can serve up to 150 covers per service and all food is sourced within the area from excellent suppliers. The Menu is Modern British in design and there is also a specials board which changes daily depending on what they have in fresh on that day.
They are looking for a Sous chef, ideally with passion, determination and creativity, to join their brigade, in their large, well-equipped kitchen.
The Role:
路 Our Client is seeking a talented sous chef who lives and breathes fresh produce.
路 The right sous Chef should be passionate and creative, have a passion for fresh food, be hardworking and a team player
路 As Sous chef, you will be work alongside head chef creating fresh seasonal dishes for their a la carte restaurant.
路 You will also train and mentor junior members of the brigade.
路 Deal with Rotas and menu completion.
路 You must have proven previous sous chef experience within a fresh food establishment, be able to take control of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.
Skills Required:
路 The ideal Sous Chef will have a real passion for high level cuisine and fantastic food presentation.
路 Be able to work in a team, use your own initiative. Be innovative with concepts and ideas.
路 Have knowledge of menu completion, Stock control and Rotas
This position is for 48 hours a week, is easily located from Basildon, Brentwood and Romford.
