Site Supervisor - Passive Fire Protection - National Organisation - Essex, London, South East & South West - £40k-£45k
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Site Supervisor, with knowledge and experience of Passive Fire Protection, to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing passive fire protection companies.
Based on sites around London, South East and South West England, you will be responsible for supervising the installation phase of passive fire protection contracts including management of operatives, arrangement of material and equipment supplies, and responsibility for installation compliance and health and safety compliance on site.
The role requires effective communication with the ability to engage personnel within the organisation and liaise with clients, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively and within in a team.
Key responsibilities as the PFP Site Supervisor will include:
- Communicating scope of work and installation process to site operatives
- Briefing operatives on health and safety requirements and RAMS/CH&SPP’s in line with site and task requirements
- Ensuring materials and plant/equipment requirements are specified in line with compliance and operational needs
- Identifying labour needs (numbers, roles, qualifications) and ensuring labour is allocated
- Managing site labour/subcontractors
- Liaising with client representatives during delivery of the installation
- Inspecting health and safety compliance during site visits
- Supporting the Health & Safety Manager in ensuring the company remains compliant with all health & safety rules and regulation
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrable experience in, and knowledge of, Passive Fire Protection (essential)
- Site supervisor experience on Passive Fire Protection construction projects (essential)
- Minimum of a Level 2 In Passive Fire Protection
- SSSTS or SMSTS required
- Experienced in arranging material and equipment supplies
- Experienced in managing site health and safety and compliance
- Organised and meticulous nature
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
- Ability to work independently and within a team
