Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Miller/Turner - Workshop Machinist to join our friendly and proactive Client in West Horndon, Essex.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Permanent, Full time position

Your responsibilities include:

  • Proficient in reading engineering manufacturing drawings for the production of parts and components.
  • Calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and measuring instruments.
  • Machine parts to pre-determined specifications using various machine tools: lathes, milling machines, machining centres, borers, grinders and pedestal/ radial drill.
  • Ability to work to very high tolerances.
  • High attention to detail and appreciation of health & safety.
  • Execute all work professionally.

You will need:

  • To have relevant knowledge, training and experience working in a machine environment.
  • Time-served and indentured to ONC & HNC, NVQ, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Recent work experience operating lathes, milling machines, borers, grinders and drills.
  • Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written.
  • Be self-motivated to work individually but adaptable to work as part of a team.
  • Have a good level of fitness due to the physical demands of the job.
  • Have a flexible and positive outlook.
  • Driver with own transport is essential due to location of company.
