We are working with a dynamic and inclusive special needs school, dedicated to providing tailored education and care to children with SEMH. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Role and Responsibilities: As a TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading small group and one-to-one sessions, providing targeted support to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Managing classroom behavior in line with school policies, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting students' social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and resilience.
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's education.
- Preparing and organizing classroom materials and resources.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Supervising students during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- TA equivalent experience.
- Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs.
- Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
