We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Analyst to join our team within Major Projects, at our Brentwood office in Essex. As our Assistant Finance Analyst, you will support the Major Projects function in providing insightful financial and commercial analysis to ensure that the business can progress towards achieving its long-term objectives. The role will have lots of interaction with the operational teams and will provide the successful candidate with exposure to monthly financial reporting cycle as well as the annual budget and strategic planning processes.
We are pleased to say, this role could accommodate agile working arrangements in accordance with Vistry’s Agile Working Policy and subject to business need.

- Strong academic record (graduated with a 2:1 or above)
- Strong GCSE/A-levels or equivalent
- Working towards recognized accountancy qualification or desire to begin studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Able to process information accurately to strict deadlines
- Ability to follow up queries proactively and resolve them satisfactorily
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook and particularly Excel is vital
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Strong mathematical and IT skills

Desirable...
- Finance related degree or part-qualified accountant
- Experience of professional finance environment e.g. placement or work experience
- Knowledge of the housebuilding industry
- Experience using COINS or Anaplan
- Ability to explain technical financial information clearly to non-finance people

- Maintenance of ledgers on behalf of the business unit, processing transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Support with the production of monthly management information, budgets and forecasts to strict deadlines.
- Support with the preparation of presentations and supporting material at reporting periods and on an ad-hoc basis.
- Understand and report the changes in the business’s key performance indicators, both financial and non-financial, to senior management.
- Ad-hoc generation and analysis of information to support key stakeholders.
