Role Overview: This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to progress their career, work closely with senior management, and be responsible for a diverse client portfolio. The role requires an accounts manager with practice experience, good diligence, and a passion for interacting and building relationships across a wide range of businesses, while project managing several different assignments. A strong tax awareness is essential, both from a computational and advisory perspective, covering personal and corporate taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and take responsibility for a portfolio of clients to ensure compliance for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, working closely with the designated Director.
  • Supervise team members and manage workflow through the office.
  • Manage the financial performance of your portfolio with regards to fee levels, recoveries, WIP, and Debtor positions.
  • Collaborate with other departments within our group.
  • Review compliance work including year-end statutory accounts, VAT returns, management accounts, and personal/company tax returns.
  • Assist clients with queries and advise clients where necessary.
  • Assist Directors with ad hoc projects.
  • Proactively build a network of professional contacts.
  • Manage the financial performance of your portfolio with regards to fee levels, recoveries, WIP, and Debtor positions.

Key Relationships:

  • Work with senior management (Directors, Associate Directors, and Senior Managers).
  • Work with the team at all levels.
  • Manage a client portfolio of approximately 100 clients – diverse, different entity types, and sizes.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, with no less than two years post-qualified experience.
  • At least 5 years of practice experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
