We are recruiting for a UKAS Accredited Asbestos outfit in the Essex area for a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst. You will need a proactive and efficient work ethic and must have a strong level of technical industry experience. They are well-known for having a strong reputation within the industry and strive to ensure their staff are up-to-date with industry developments and training. Salaries are competitive and they can also offer excellent benefits.

You will need to be based in: Brentwood, Ingatestone, Wickford, Basildon, Rayleigh, Hockley, Rochford, Burnham-on-Crouch, Southend-on-Sea, South Benfleet, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Tilbury, Rainham, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Barking, Ilford, Romford, Chigwell, Epping, Harlow, Chelmsford, Boreham, Broomfield, Maldon.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification
- You will be able to undertake bulk analysis of samples in accordance with UKAS and HSE guidelines
- Will have participated in AIMS and quality checks
- Keen eye for detail
- IT Proficient
- Strong written and organisational skills

The Role:
- Conducting the analysis of ACM (asbestos containing materials) through Stereo Light Microscopy and PLM
- Receiving and logging samples on a regular basis
- Updating company records and databases
- Processing and issuing result certificates
- Managing stock levels within the laboratory as well as maintaining equipment
- Working both independently and as part of a team
