The Client
Our client is a bespoke specialist services provider, primarily for the rail industry, but also within the utilities and local authority sectors. The company aims to be the preferred supplier for a total aerial arboricultural management service to the rail, utility and local authority sectors.
The Role
They currently are seeking multi-skilled mobile operatives to work on a mixture of reactive and project works across in the Essex/London area. The position is working on Commercial offices and Operational Railway properties over the London & Anglia region for one of the large train operators. You will be working alongside an experienced management team.
Key Responsibilities
This is a maintenance role, and you will be responsible for but not limited to: •
- Building partition/stud walls
- Replacing floorboards and joists
- Fitting skirting boards and architraves
- General minor Plumbing works
- General Groundworks
- Replacing rotten windowsills, assessing roof leaks, and carrying out minor repairs.
- Replacing Doors and Door Furniture including locks, hinges, handles etc.
- Decorating
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults within requests and providing a conscientious service to the client.
- Site Supervision
- Ensuring that the quality of work always meets the highest possible standards
- Supporting all trades to deliver a professional and safe maintenance and repairs service
- Responding swiftly to all emergency situations and resolving them efficiently
- Enhancements - on-call requirement (1 week in 3)
Key Requirements
- Must be competent in construction skills.
- Full current driving license.
- To undertake a pre-employment drug and alcohol and medical examination.
- A trade specific qualification minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a construction specific topic i.e. plumbing, carpentry etc.
- PTS (Personal Track Safety) would be advantageous.
The Rewards
