Located in Essex, this award-winning gastro restaurant currently holds 2AA Rosette, but the exceptional Head Chef is still pushing to enhance new menu concepts.
Rayment Recruitment are looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join a busy Gastro pub in the Essex area, using the best of British produce to create a mix of modern European cuisine and traditional British fare with a relaxed pub atmosphere.
This beautiful venue is surrounded by glorious Essex countryside, yet only 10 minutes from towns like Brentwood, Harlow and Chelmsford. This modern venue has an award-winning fine dining restaurant, open 5 days a week. They also have private hire and run exclusive events for approx. 30 guests. They have a great following on social media and over 50% of their clientele travel from afar to eat their fine cuisine.
The Role:
· The right Senior Sous Chef should be motivated and creative, have a passion for fresh food, be hardworking and a team player
· As Senior Sous chef, you will be work alongside the Head Chef creating fresh, seasonal dishes for their a la carte restaurant.
· You will also train and mentor junior members of the brigade.
· You must have proven previous Senior Sous Chef experience within a fresh food establishment, be able to take control of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Skills Required:
· The ideal Senior Sous Chef will have a real passion for high level cuisine and fantastic food presentation
· Previous experience working at 2AA Rosette establishments
· Be able to work in a team, use your own initiative, and be innovative with concepts and ideas.
· Have knowledge of Menu Completion, Stock control and Rotas
