Workshop Planner

Lombard Recruitment is searching for an Experienced Workshop Planner for our successful client based in Brentwood, Essex.

The Company

Led by highly experienced owners, they provide maintenance, resources, project management, defect resolution, repairs, and technical support through a 24/7 service.

From idea to implementation, and concluding with a project's completion - from an individual engineering task, whether big or small, like a pump motor overhaul, to extensive undertakings such as a complete power station outage event.

Role requirements

• CAD drawing experience / design using CAD
• Plan workshop activities through CRM system - This would be appertaining to machining works, fabrication, callout site work, and refurbishment works
• To manage the CRM system and ensure all works are scheduled on time
• Source materials from  suppliers, produce purchase orders / manage deliveries
• Managing goods in and out ensuring all materials required arrive on time for scheduled jobs and are labelled to associated works
• Ensure deliveries are conducted and delivery notes returned
• Work closely with the workshop supervisor for scheduling purposes
• Conduct and lead daily and weekly planning meetings
• Ensure business KPIs are met
• Analyse turnover based on actual jobs versus potential

Personal skill requirements

• Excellent focus
• Ability to organise and multitask 
• Strong computer skills
• A technical understanding of engineering drawings for machining and fabrication scopes
• A technical engineering experience to understand workscopes
• Able to achieve business KPIs and business objectives
• Good communication skills for speaking with customers, suppliers and management staff
