Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician (1st Line Support) to join our growing manufacturing company. As the first point of contact for IT issues, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective technical support to all users across various departments. Your role is critical in maintaining day-to-day IT operations, ensuring minimal downtime, and contributing to the overall productivity of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

  • Respond to and resolve technical issues raised by users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to 2nd and 3rd line support as required.

Hardware & Software Maintenance:

  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Install and update software applications in line with company policies.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory.

Network Support:

  • Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) and escalate complex issues.
  • Ensure stable connectivity of workstations and devices to the company network.

Requirements:

  • Provide 1st (some 2nd line) support
  • Active Directory management
  • Virtual machines (VMWare)
  • Office 365 products
  • Microsoft Exchange

This position requires a full driving licence and own vehicle, as you may be required to travel to external sites (locally).
